Flint A. Lane, Chairman & CEO of Billtrust
Mr. Lane is responsible for setting the strategic direction and managing the
day-to-day activities for Billtrust. Prior to founding Billtrust, Mr. Lane was
founder, President and Chairman of Paytrust, the leading electronic bill presentation
and payment (EBPP) company with over 100,000 customers nationwide. Prior to founding
Paytrust, Mr. Lane served in executive positions at various software companies
including Platinum Technology, Logic Works and BrownStone Solutions. Mr. Lane
received his Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic
Institute.
Ron Averett
Mr. Averett was most recently the Chief Executive Officer of Princeton eCom, a leading provider of electronic payment solutions to the banking and biller markets. Mr. Averett was responsible for the overall strategic direction and daily operations of Princeton eCom until its successful acquisition by Online Resources (Nasdaq:ORCC) in 2006.
Prior to joining Princeton eCom, Averett was a senior vice president in charge of Chevy Chase Bank's $5.2 billion credit card division and senior vice president at Advanta Corporation where he was responsible for managing Advanta's Gold Card product, a $9.5 billion portfolio.
Etienne Boillot, Founder of Eckford Group
Mr. Boillot is a co-founder of the Eckford Group a family-based private equity firm. He has over 12 years of experience in leveraged buy-outs and early stage investing. He was co-founder and CFO of LC39 Venture Group, a $25 million early stage fund that has performed in the top decile of its class. Prior to that, Mr. Boillot spent five years as a partner at Trader Classified Media (TCM), one of the leading international publishers of classified advertising magazines, where he was responsible for acquisitions and financings. Prior to joining TCM, he served for four years as CEO of Yves Saint Laurent of America, the U.S. subsidiary of the Paris-based luxury goods business. Mr. Boillot's background in finance originated at First Boston Corporation, where he was a member of the mergers & acquisitions department. Mr. Boillot has an MBA from Stanford University and a BA from Dartmouth College.
Diane Smith
Diane Smith was most recently the Chief Executive Officer of VirtualEdge Corporation, a worldwide leader in Talent Lifecycle Software. VirtualEdge is the trusted solution partner for approximately one million users at more than 300 enterprises in over 80 countries around the world. Ms. Smith was responsible for the overall strategic direction and driving force for VirtualEdge's commitment to product excellence and superior customer service until its successful acquisition by Automated Data Processing Inc. (NYSE: ADP) in 2006.
Ms. Smith started her career in Higher Education and Athletics, holding positions at Princeton and Towson Universities where she also coached the Division I Women's Basketball programs. No stranger to athletics herself, she was a 4-year All-American Field Hockey player, a two time Broderick Cup nominee and a member of the Women's Olympic Field Hockey Teams.
Chris Sugden, Partner - Edison Venture Fund
At Edison, Chris focuses on New Jersey- and New York City-based companies. He identifies and evaluates new investment opportunities and helps guide existing portfolio companies. He focuses on the financial services and ecommerce industries for Edison, as well. He regularly attends industry events focused on these sectors and often speaks on these industries at seminars and trade shows. Chris also sits on the boards of Incurrent Solutions and Satori Group.
Chris has served as executive vice president and CEO of Princeton eCom's Electronic Billing Division. He also served as Princeton eCom's EVP and CFO focusing on raising capital, finance and accounting, and strategy. The company successfully raised over $80 million in private equity during Chris's tenure. In 2001, Princeton eCom was named the Internet, e-Business and Multimedia Company of the Year by the New Jersey Technology Council.
Prior to that, Chris was director of finance and operations for two magazine startups and internet businesses funded by Freedom Communications, Inc. For more than four years Chris was also part of the Entrepreneurial Services Group in the Boston office of PricewaterhouseCoopers (formerly Coopers & Lybrand). He is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the Massachusetts Society of CPAs as well as the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He earned a BA in Accounting from Michigan State University.
John Yapaola, COO of Kapow Technologies
Mr. Yapaola has over 20 years experience in the management and growth of high-technology start-up Companies. He has held executive positions at several technology companies that had successful IPO's in the last ten years. In his most recent position, he has served as CEO of Let's Think Wireless, a wireless infrastructure design, engineering and installation company. Previously, he served as Executive Vice President of Business Development for Paytrust. Prior to joining Paytrust, he served as Executive Vice President of Operations for the Americas for The Fantastic Corporation, where he built the American operation and was responsible for all sales and marketing strategies as well as operations. Before joining The Fantastic Corporation, he was Vice President of Sales at Logic Works, the leader in the relational database modeling and design market.including Logic Works which had its Initial Public Offering on the NASDAQ exchange in 1995, and was recognized in 1996, by Business Week magazine as the third fastest growing small public company in the United States. Mr. Yapaola also held senior positions at Parametric Technology. He has BS in Marketing from St. Peter's College. |
